The same principle as the Earthquake Bar, however, olympic weights can be loaded straight onto the Rhino Bar ends. The “wobble” (OKE) effect is a lot less, when loaded in this direct manner, but the bar still feels very nice to use, and it’s great for speedwork and has a nice “whip”. For me, the Rhino Bar is best used to directly load with olympic weights, alongside the use of chains or bands with weights attached (kettlebells or similar); this way, you get the best of both…lots of direct load, and some of the “wobble” effect from having some of the weight a little more dynamic, with the use of chains or bands.
